January Meeting | Winter Warmers

We were excited to be invited to Rohrbach Brewing’s Brewtopia event for our Jan meeting.  The theme of the night was “Winter Warmers,” which was a perfect focus for these freezing cold days that we can’t seem to shake in here Rochester. Rohrbach brewer, Zach Porrey, walked us through several different dark malty beers.

These beers were big and bold, highlighting the malts they were brewed with and they were boozy; most of them coming in a 9% ABV. Personally, I couldn’t get enough of the Dubhe Black IPA by Uinta Brewing out in Utah or Old Rasputin – an imperial stout-brewed by North Coast brewing in CA. The warm atmosphere and the flavorful beer kept us chatting well into the evening. These are the beers you should be reaching for on cold evenings throughout the winter months.

Beers Enjoyed:

  • Imperial Scotch Ale – Rohrbach Brewing
  • Dry Patch Porter – Rohrbach Brewing
  • Old Rasputin – North Coast Brewing
  • Dubhe Black IPA – Uinta Brewing
